Forthcoming AGM

AGM Thursday 20th August 2020

The Annual General Meeting is an opportunity for you to have your say in how the Nottingham & Derby Society of Architects is run. You can vote for existing members to continue in their roles, vote in new committee members and even stand for a position yourself providing you meet the RIBA’s Branch Handbook criteria (explained below). If you are interested in taking up a position on the committee, please download and return this nominee form.

Key dates are as follows:

  • August 14th Close date for nominating positions on the committee

  • August 20th AGM Online via Zoom

  • 1 week handover period to incoming committee

  • 1st September Inaugural 2020/2022 committee meeting

Meeting agenda to be issued via website and to registrants. General running order on the evening will be as follows:

  • Review of financial Accounts by Treasurer

  • Announcement of positions being contested

  • Ballot by show of hands

  • Announcement of outcome

  • Welcoming in new committee

Members of any level (Levels Include: Chartered RIBA Members, Associate RIBA Members, & Student RIBA Members) can put themselves forward to be a committee member, the exception to this is the roles of the Chair and Hon. Treasurer, who are required to be Chartered RIBA Members.

Please review the list in the nominee form. If you would like to submit your name for consideration please complete the form and send it to info@ndsa.org.uk no later than 14.08.2020.

We ask that you take this role seriously, be able to commit a suitable amount of time over your tenure and expect you to conduct yourself as a professional as you would in practice. During this time, you will be representing the RIBA and the local RIBA members.
