Beeston Civic Design Awards - 2023

The People’s Choice Award

This year marks the third of Beeston’s biennial civic Design Awards, whose aim is to recognise and encourage better building and environmental improvements – making Beeston a better place.

We’d like you to nominate projects local projects which enhance or improve their location, that have been completed in the last two years (30 June 2021 and 31 July 2023). The area covered is Attenborough, Beeston, Bramcote, Chilwell, and Attenborough.

Categories

The scheme encompasses the following categories:

1. Domestic / Residential Buildings

This category covers any domestic / residential dwelling that has been newly built, upgraded or refurbished.

2. Commercial Buildings

This includes any newly built, refurbished, refitted or refurbished retail, commercial or industrial premises.

3. Landscape / Biodiversity

Includes biodiverse planting or landscape schemes; growing for food, wilding and wildlife friendly design e.g. habitat for bats, bees, bugs and birds, tree planting, or native planting schemes.

4.Environment / Energy

This new category encompasses work to any existing, new, or refurbished property involving energy efficiency schemes, renewables, generation or retrofitting, together with environment considerations e.g. green roofs or water harvesting.
